birthday poem

I've been standing in your doorway for days
invisible I'm silent when you pass through me
I'm more exposed now than you dream about
this environment tortures we're never free
can't elocute the delicious calm you bring
tedentious the clamor we'd rather avoid in sight
I know you don't hate me, not even close
you're the moonlight luminating my room by night
radiating scriptures echoing tamerlane
ambition renewed with the tempting change in your tone
uncertain territory gleamed forgotten in your gaze
it all started through the lie of a throne
desire caution doubt riveted senseless one eve
innatist anticipation dilates all I can believe
